You are so right. The coaches have brought such support to schools and teachers that has not been available before. They are all so helpful, knowledgeable, and hard working. The only problem now is that their supports are soooo great that we do not have enough of them What a great problem to have in such a short time of implementing this position. Great job coaches.

William good observation. If you all are tapping into this resource please keep us posted on how you feel this is helping the students. In all or classrooms there are so many different talents, strengths and needs within the students. I have no doubt this program can benefit various levels of students.

I agree with you William. GT has brought strengths to the table. There is something so special about each of the children in which we get the privalege to educate. Fucusing on strengths allows us to hopefully progress further and tap into what a student can become in the future. Thanks

Compass learning? Even if it is a tier II intervention, can it be used in a classroom of students with special needs?

Good information, working with my students who have severe challenges has helped me to appreciate the gifted side of them. Wish GT was around when I was going through the grades. There is so much talent that is not encouraged because we spend so much time focusing on the deficits in our children.

Thank you to Joy for setting this up and thank you Chris for the positive comments. This is indeed set up to support you all, the princpals and teachers using the Compass Learning program. I hope this will become a place of sharing – best practices, lessons learned, etc. so that everyone can learn from eachother.

This is a pilot project and we are very interested in learning everything we can about this program, from those of you in the districts. I look forward to learning from you all in the coming months!

Hello everyone! Thanks again for the opportunity to visit about our pilot project. I felt it to be beneficial and well worth the time. I particularly enjoyed listening to how others have implemented and currently using the compass software. I think the blog is a great resource for all of us.
